**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Good afternoon crew, I thought I better wait till I got back from Uluwatu and give ya’s the full run down and photos in the one go. Well when I checked out the swell situation this morning the Outer Reefs were showing a drop in size but still some ok little waves upta head high. The tide was running in for a 2.2mtr High, then a dryish Low tide of 0.3mtrs happening around 4.30pm. Following suite as the last few days the wind was light on-shore outta the S-SW before turning off-shore around mid-morning. That’s where I was mistaken. I hit the road for Uluwatu hoping that it’d be blowing off-shore by the tme I was set up, but nah the wind has and still is blowing on-shore outta the WSW @ 5-9knot. As ya can see in these photos surfing conditions were still clean enough out on the Main Peak. There was also some nice lines breaking up at Temple’s for the crew who made the paddle. Apart from the wind it’s been a faultless day weather wise with nothing but blue sky upstairs. I’d also have to imagine that the East Coast mighta had a few clean waves through the morning. The weekend is looking like it’s gunna be chocka block full of waves so if ya wanna be in the know tune in cause we’ll be right here amoungst it. I think WDT might be heading up to the Kuta Carnival over the weekend to see what’s happening and get some snap shots for the Kuta Cam Gallery. Ok then have a good one and Best Regards from the best place a surfer can be, Bali.
Good New’s Dept: Due to an extreme bout of “what a bloody co-incidence” I may have found an organisation that takes a special interest in taking care of little Balinese kiddies that haven’t got any parents. Getting them decked out in school gear and organising their school fees, books, etc etc. They are a fully volunteer type outfit and hopefully soon I’ll have the full run down on how we can help out.
My turn dept: My Deepest Thanks to the people who spared baliwaves some kind thought, what surprised me the most was that these people kinda already imagined exactly how I live. It’s ended up with something like 60 surfers and surfing families have lent a helping hand. So ya’s can take a deep breath knowing that baliwaves.com is gunna be keepen on keepen on. For me, just knowen that I got that many solid supporters watching it’s well worth it. Thanks 10,000,000. times crew !
