**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** G’day folks, and thanks for droppin by the baliwaves. Well everything was looking good when I checked out the Outer reefs early this morning and there were still some nice waves coming through on Middle Reef in the 2-4ft range and no one out @ 7.00am. No one out because the tide was that low that the boats didn’t have an open channel to ferry anyone out there. Apart from the super Low tide everything was looking good, and the wind clean off-shore outta the ESE. But by the time I got about halfway to Uluwatu it decided to swing to the SSE putting it cross-shore to the Main Peak but still clean and tidy down through the Racetrack. That’s exactly how it was with wave height pushing double over head on the set waves. Even though the wind was funky there were still some good waves on the Peak, the Racetrack, and down at Temple’s. Coming home past Padang Padang and Impossible’s surfing conditions looked clean but only in the 1-3ft range, the optical along the beach at Padang Padang woulda been the best bet down there. Weatherwise it’s been pretty warm outta the wind, with plenty of blue sky for the beach lovers. I don’t think it’s gunna be too much longer an we’re gunna cop another fresh swell so we’re sitting pretty here on Bali. Really it don’t matter what way the wind blows, your always gunna be able to find it hitting off-shore somewhere around the island. Alright then check out these latest photos outta Bali and stick around for plenty more a coming. I even managed a bit of a heads up on the Bali blue water scene and some new fishy photos on the Fishing Report page, plus a few more photos in the Kuta Cam, so get busy. See ya’s in the morning with the run down on Bali’s surfing and weather conditions. Best Regards from your best bet for waves, while on limited holiday time.
Good New’s Dept: Due to an extreme bout of “what a bloody co-incidence” I may have found an organisation that takes a special interest in taking care of little Balinese kiddies that haven’t got any parents. Getting them decked out in school gear and organising their school fees, books, etc etc. They are a fully volunteer type outfit and hopefully soon I’ll have the full run down on how we can help out.
