**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Welcome aboard the baliwaves, thanks for droppin by. This mornings 6.30am surf check of the Outer Reefs was almost looking like wave height had dropped off a touch. But after hanging around for half an hour watching it, it hasn’t. Actual wave height was ranging from 3-5ft+ between Kuta Reef and Airports. While there was still some tide left over there were some ok waves bending around Kuta Reef in the 2-4ft class (head to head high plus) and a few dawn patroler’s out there making the most of the clean and glassy conditions. Middle Reef had more size and frequency but looked a bit shifty and closin down early. Airport left had 2-3 footers breaking and should improve around mid to late morning, if the wind behave’s itself. At the moment @ 10.00am the wind is blowing cross/on-shore outta the SSW @ 3-6knot. But hopefully, like it did yesterday, it could swing around to the SE and provide us with clean off-shore conditions after lunch. There’s been good waves breaking all over the island the last few days from Nusa Dua to Keramas at Gianyar on the East coast and Medewi to Uluwatu on the West coast. These photos were given to us from a friend of baliwaves (Tassie boy) and feature some waves from Keramas. He’s also dumped another 100 odd photos on us taken while on his island hopping excursions between G-Land to the West and Sumbawa to the east. So I’ll start loading those babies into the Readers Gallery later this afternoon. Ok then have a good one what eva ya got on today, and stay tuned for more images and surf info again tomorrow. And what eva ya’s do don’t stop thinking about those long walled Bali waves. Best Regards from the island of non stop fun, sun and surf !
Good New’s Dept: Due to an extreme bout of “what a bloody co-incidence” I may have found an organisation that takes a special interest in taking care of little Balinese kiddies that haven’t got any parents. Getting them decked out in school gear and organising their school fees, books, etc etc. They are a fully volunteer type outfit and hopefully soon I’ll have the full run down on how we can help out.
Why don’t ya send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into G-Land. How to get over to Lakey Peak. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
