**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** G’day surfers and beach lovers alike, welcome to the baliwaves and another fine looking Sunday coming on here in Bali. I’ll just run ya’s through yesterday quickly first. Saturday did see a reasonable increase in wave height on the reef breaks and as ya’s can see in these long shots I took of the Outer Reefs there was perfection on offer. I actually took these photos from the shore-line a good 1000yrds away from Airport left and around 600yrds out from Kuta Reef just using my 600mm lens. Today the 22nd and we’ve got similar sized surf again, maybe even a little more consistent. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airports was varying between 2-4ft while the tide was running in for a 2.1mtr High (10.00am). Kuta Reef was the obvious choice it seems cause there were already around 30 surfers out there by 7.30am, but I gotta admit it is breaking perfectly @ shoulder to head high plus. Middle Reef was picking up slightly bigger set waves in the 4ft range and not too bad either. Airport Left was short and sweet in that head high fun size. The wind is blowing off-shore outta the ESE-SE @ 2-6knot and if it doesn’t get to much stronger there should even be a few sly waves around on Airport Rights. Then again there’s gunna be good waves everywhere from the beach breaks of Kuta all the way down to Uluwatu. I’m gunna cruise down to the bukit with the DV cam around lunch time and see if I can shoot enough footage to make ya’s some new video clips. WDT has gone for a swim with his camera at Kuta Reef to get some water angle’s so we should have it all covered today. So if ya want to see some Bali waves for free you had better turn up back here later this evening ! Outside the weather is cooking, the days and nights are getting hotter as the season changes over to summer. The off-shore wind has also cooled down the water temp a bit, from 24C to around 20-21 degree’s Celcius. Alrighty then I hope your day goes to plan, I know the holiday crew still here in Bali won’t be complaining.
Hey, good news. We’re almost there with Orphan Scholarship / Sponsorship Program !!! It looks I’ve found an organisation that offers a couple of different types of sponsorships. One way is to sponsor a child just for schooling needs and essientials, and the other way is to sponsor a family to “adopt a child” so the kid gets to live in a family scene and gets to go to school.
Why don’t ya send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into G-Land. How to get over to Lakey Peak. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
Best Regards from Your Bali.
