**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hey there surfers, welcome aboard the baliwaves. What do ya reckon about Uluwatu yesterday, look ok to you ? I never got down to the bukit until 11.30am yesterday and she was a wild ride balancing the camera gear on my 9yr old motor bike I tell ya’s. The tide was just starting to empty out and the Racetrack just starting to produce the goods. Wave height was a good 4ft on the sets on the Track and slightly bigger on the Main Peak. The crowd peaked at something like 30-40 surfers through out the course of the day (I hung out till 4.00pm). Hardly any crowd at all really when ya look at how perfect the waves were. The wind was coming outta the SE-SSE so she was a little bit cross-shore on the Main Peak but perfectly clean and very tidy tucked in under the cliffs at the Racetrack. This morning the 24th and when I did the surf recon of the Outer Reefs @ 6.30am wave height has dropped off into the 1-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Middle Reef was the only viable option out there while the tide was on the bottom of a pretty dry Low. A bit small and a bit too shallow at both Kuta Reef and Airports but Middle Reef was breaking with perfectly tapered shoulder to head high unridden walls. The wind was light off-shore coming outta the ESE @ 1-3knot and hopefully will stay that way. I’d imagine there’d still be a few tubes being ridden down at Uluwatu again this morning. When the tide runs back in to the 2.1mtr High at lunch time the beach breaks from Kuta to Legian will also be worth a peruse. Weather wise it’s another beautiful day outside and ya couldn’t go wrong if you were on holiday time. I’m also pretty sure there’s more swell in transit to Bali and not too far away. We’ll make sure we’re there to greet her when she arrives ! Stick around or tune in later on cause I got a heap of new photos to load into the baliwaves. Don’t forget dept: It’s never to late for a surfing holiday in Bali !
Hey, good news . We’re almost there with Orphan Scholarship / Sponsorship Program !!! It looks I’ve found an organisation that offers a couple of different types of sponsorships. One way is to sponsor a child just for schooling needs and essientials, and the other way is to sponsor a family to “adopt a child” so the kid gets to live in a family scene and gets to go to school.
Why don’t ya send us an email if ya have any questions that might help your next Indo surfing holiday run that bit smoother. Discounts into G-Land. How to get over to Lakey Peak. Likewise if your looking for a cheap, clean and 100% surfer friendly place to home base at here in Bali.
Best Regards from Your Bali.
