**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hey good morning surfers and thanks for dropping in for a look at Bali’s surf and weather conditions. As ya’s can see in these latest photographs to come outta Bali I was up on location at Keramas yesterday. I arrived up there around 6.30am to find ultra clean waves in the 2-4ft range and wind direction straight off-shore outta the WNW. The only catch was that the tide was still too Low for Keramas making it break virtually right on top of the exposed reef. By the time my crew hit the water at 7.30am conditons were still clean but the wind was starting to shift around to the S-SW becoming cross-shore. Even though, there were still a few good shoulder to head high plus waves rockin through. I was surprised to only see a handful of surfers in the water at this fully publicized location, especially when every other location around the rock woulda been even more wind affected. This morning the 13th @ 6.30am wave height is still showing in the 2-4ft range on the Outer Reefs between Kuta Reef and Airports. But there won’t be too many of those waves ridden. Wind direction was coming outta the NW @ 3-6knot and on-shore right along Bali’s best stretch of surfing coastline. We’ve got the Tide still falling to a 0.5mtr Low water mark @ 9.00am before running up to a mid range High of 1.6mtrs around 3.30 this afternoon. I’d say the best bet for a wave this morning would be at locations like Nusa Dua and Serangan, or maybe even back up at Keramas when the tide starts to run back up. Thems the breaks dept: Yesterday on the way back from Keramas my fishing buddy, Ondel, called me to see if I wanted to go chasing pelagics. Never the less he went alone and boated 10 x 20kg GT’s. I’ll try and load a photo or two of these fish onto the Fishing page later on, just for proof. Alrighty then hook in and try and getta bit of work done, drop by later this arvo and I’ll give ya’s the wrap on what it was in Bali surf and weather wise. Keep smiling and start organising your friends and planning your next Indonesian tube fest now !
