**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Hello again crew, well the clock’s just gone 5.15pm here in Bali so I suppose it’s time to call it a day. I headed over to Serangan around 10.00am but to no avail photo wise. Just as we made the turn off (Opposite MAKRO wholesalers) I could feel the wind had turned and was now blowing outta the ESE-SE, on-shore at Serangan and everywhere else along the east Coast and a return to off-shore’s back over on the West Coast. I was talking to one of Quicksilver Indonesia’s Team riders “Devis” who had just finished surfing at Serangan and he reckoned it wasn’t that good anyway with wave height in the shoulder to head high range and kinda cross-shore. Back here in Tuban surfing conditions are clean and smooth but wave height between Kuta Reef and Airports remains micro @ 1ft. Hopefully the ESE-SE wind will hang around again tomorrow and we can get down to Uluwatu for some waves. Tune in again in the morning and we’ll let ya know how it really is surf and weather wise here in Bali.
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy surfers, and welcome back to the baliwaves for your daily dose of Bali’s surf and weather conditions. I wandered down for the 6.30am surf recon of the Outer Reefs (Tuban) to find wave height is still down in the 1-2ft range in between Kuta Reef to Airports and not too much at all happening. The tide was just starting to run out from a 1.7mtr High that went down @ 5.00am with the next Low scheduled in for 11.30am and then another 1.7mtr High through the late afternoon. Wind direction was coming outta the North @ 2-5knot so locations like Medewi, Balian and Canggu would have at the least off-shore wind. Weather wise outside @ 7.30am we’ve got pretty much nothing but blue sky and more hot beach weather coming on. The mercury should easily punch through into the mid 30’s on the Celcius scale, while the water is absolutely perfect for coolin off @ 23 degree’s Celcius. Hang in there cause I’m gunna go for a ride over to the East coast of Bali in another hour or so to see if there’s anything worth showing ya’s. Surfing conditions should be clean over there before the wind swings further towards the South around midday, like it has been. Anyway have a good one for now, keep smiling and start organising your friends and planning your next Indonesian tube fest now !
MORE GOOD NEWS : I know it’s taken awhile for me to get this organised but that’s how it is, when it’s a one man show. In other words turn around the life of a child with some basic education and putting them into a family environment.
