**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Well there’s been no freak swells turn up around Bali today folks. Wave height on the Outer Reefs remains in the 1-1.5ft catogory and not an option really. I’ve just had a phone up-date from Uluwatu and things don’t sound too rosey down that way either. The boys reckon there are plenty of surfers in the water down there but wave height is pretty small, 1-2ft (waist to shoulder high) along the Racetrack. The time here in Bali has just gone 3.00pm and the outside temperature would have to still be around 34 degree’s Celcius and quite warm, to put it politely. I also had another brouse through the swell charts on offer (there’s so freaking many of em and they usually all differ) and I think my earlier asumption of another 48hrs or so might be just a little too optimistic… I’ll be back again in the morning with all the info on Bali’s surf and weather so stay tuned if your a Bali goer. Apology dept: I think I better just let ya’s know that if wave height is under head high I don’t waste my time taking photos, and I’m sure there’s not too many of ya’s out there that wanna see grovel type surf photos. God know’s there’s already enough of them on the net. See ya’s tomorrow !
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning friends of Bali and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves. I went down for the 6.00am surf check of the Outer Reefs as usual and this morning wave height has indeed dropped down a notch or two. The tide was just coming off the bottom of a reef exposing 0.1mtr Low, so that wasn’t helping the cause. But we might have a few 1-2ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airports around mid morning as the tide starts to run back in for a 1.9mtr High @ 11.00am. The wind was only just detectable earlier coming outta the West and on-shore, but now @ 7.00am it’s swung around to the ESE and starting to build up some momentum, off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu. We’ve also got some morning type cloud hanging about but that’ll be gone by mid morning an we’ll have another hot and sunny beach day left behind. I’m gunna be keeping an eye on the ocean through out the day and I’ll let ya’s know later this afternoon if any changes. But I’m thinking it’s looking like another 48hrs or so before we see a new pulse of swell on Bali’s reefs and beaches. Ok then for now have a good one and try and get some work done.
