**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy folks and thanks for dropping by this afternoon. Well things never went quite to plan with the wind direction so far today. Right now @ 3.00pm (Bali time) the wind is still coming outta the WSW @ 4-7knot with all locations here along the West coast on-shore. Wave height has been hanging in there and still in the 2-4ft range between Kujta Reef and Airports. I haven’t spoken to anyone who went across to the East coast in search of cleaner surfing conditions but I imagine there woulda been some nice waves coming through between Nusa Dua and Keramas. We’ll try again tomorrow for ya’s and I’ll bring up to date on the surfing score first thing in the morning. Talk to ya’s then. Here’s a few more clean and hollow waves from the down at the Racetrack yesterday, enjoy !
**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning to all you surfers tuning into the baliwaves, I suppose it’s time to give ya’s another run down on todays surf and weather conditions in Bali. Well really it’s a good thing we never went across to the lakey Peak as this morning the wind is already on-shore blowing outta the W-WNW, combined with an early am Low tide is not a good look at lakey’s. Ok I went down for the surf recon of the Outer Reefs (of Tuban) at 7.30am and found wave height has indeed boosted another foot or two into the 3-5ft class. Even though the wind was blowing lightly on-shore there were a few nice little 3 footers (head high) peeling along Kuta Reef, with half a dozen surfers out there for the early. Middle Reef was pulling in a more solid 3-5 foot of swell, but needing that off-shore wind to hold up the lip. Airport left was also starting to break nicely in the 2-4ft class, but I think there’s some sorta Japanese school reunion on out there with the amount of reef taxi’s ferrying out our friends. Right now @ 9.00am we’ve got the tide running up for a 2.0mtr High set down for 11.30am then an afternoon Low Tide happening around 5.30pm. The wind is still only light and variable at the moment but I’m thinking it’s gunna be swinging more around to the SE-SSE and back to off-shore from Legian to Uluwatu by midday, fingers crossed hey. Weather wise outside we’ve got a bit of a mixed bag of blue sky and cloud, and temperature wise the mercury should get into the mid 30’s Celcius. The last couple of nights of rainfall we’ve had is starting to push the humidity level up into the 90% range so pack a good deodorant if your coming over soon. Alright then good people tune in later this evening for the afternoon rap on surfing conditions and another batch of photos ! Make the most of what eva ya got on today and start organising your friends and planning your next Indonesian tube fest now !
