**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** G’Day folks and yeah it’s time for another look at todays surfing conditions around Bali. Well I made it down for a look at the Outer Reefs here in Tuban at 6.45am. And it wasn’t looking good, wave height is still hanging in there @ 2-3ft between Kuta Reef and Airports but with the wind blowing hard on-shore outta the West-South West at 8-12 knot. So there’s not gunna be any hall of fame tube rides out there today. The tide was just coming off the top of a medium range High and should be bottoming out for the Low around midday. We had some new arrivals at Home Base Bali last night and the boys from Sydney haven’t wasted anytime getting in the water. I’ve already had a phone in report that the “boys” are over at Serangan on the East Coast scoring 2-4 footers (head to head high plus) with clean off-shore wind. I’d also have to imagine that further up the coast at Keramas there’d be some nice little head high waves for the crew that were prepared to travel that little bit further in the prsuit of happiness. Made has also filed his sms surf report from Lakey Peak on the wave riddled island of Sumbawa . Made sounds pretty happy that there’s 2-3 foot of clean WSW swell hitting the Peak today. Bugger all wind through the early AM so surfing conditions were smooth and glassy (Sounds like things are starting to get back to normal over there). There were in fact 9 surfers in the water @ 8.00am with the total number of International surfers in the area dropping down to 23. If you wanna hook up with Made over at Lakey’s drop me a line and I’ll tell ya how to do it. Outside weather conditions around this part of Bali are shaping up for another hot and humid one, there were a few drops of rain through the night and into the early hours but has since cleared up leaving a mainly blue sky. We should see the mercury creep back up into the early 30’s on the Celcius scale and the water temperature is excellent @ 22-24 degree’s Celcius. Ok for now try and get a bit of work done cause later on I’m gunna be trying to secure some wheels and head back across to Serangan to get ya’s some new stuff to look at. I also wanna say Thank You to Adrian, James, Chris and Karl who just left “Home Base Bali” heading back home after two weeks of surfing their brains out over here. Alright then, have a good one and I’ll catch ya’s later !
