**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves. Well there hasn’t been any real change in surfing conditions here along the West Coast of Bali. The whole ocean out there has been looking like a giant washing machine with too much suds, choppy as all hell with nothing but white capping wind wash from dawn till dusk. But even so I still went down for the 6.00am surf check of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. We still have 2-3ft of swell being blown on to Kuta Reef, Middle Reef and Airport Left but totally unsurfable from the 15-20knot howling on-shore WSW wind. The crew from Home Base headed off to Keramas over on the East Coast @ 5.30am to try and catch some cleaner waves, before the wind swings more to the SSW so I’ll let ya’s know how they went later on. The report in from Serangan yesterday afternoon wasn’t very encouraging either with the wind just blowing too hard cross/on-shore. Today it’s even stronger out there so I dunno how we’re gunna get ya’s anything new to look at ? Made has already taken his surf check of conditons over at Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa . He say’s wave height has dropped back down into the 1-2ft range on the Peak and there were only 3 surfers in the water at 7.30am. Unlike here in Bali there’s been no wind happening through the morning so surfing conditions have been clean and glassy. The total number of guests staying over there at Lakey’s has dropped down to 15, so maybe now would be a good time to start thinking about an expedition East to Sumbawa. Outside the weather is looking a bit un-settled around these parts of the island and we do have some cloud moving about. But the temperature should at least push into the high twenties to early 30’s Celcius by midday, the water temp remains perfect at 24 degree’s Celcius. So get on with what eva ya gotta do this morning and stay tuned to the one and only baliwaves.com. If ya need a hand planning your next Bali surfing Holiday in 2007 just give us a shout.
