**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** “Selamat Sore” as we say in Indonesia, or “good afternoon” in English. Well I’ve put in a big one for team baliwaves.com today, I tell ya’s. This morning I kicked off at 5.45am to take a look at the the Outer Reefs of Tuban and might I just say that there were some nice waves peeling of on the Middle Reef @ 2-3ft. The tide was pretty dry from the New Moon Low tide through the early AM so nothing happening on Kuta Reef or at Airport Left / Right . No wind again this morning and if anything it was light off-shore. So as I said I was gunna do yesterday, I made tracks for Uluwatu . It was hard to control the speed on my two stroke motorbike cause I new the Racetrack would be producing the goods. Going past Padang Padang and Impossible’s I could see that surfing conditions were still super clean and there were some shoulder high 2 footers running down the reef @ Impossible’s. Padang Padang was even showing some white water, but not near enough. I was on location at Uluwatu around 7.00am and there were 5 surfers in the water on the Track. Wave height was coming through at head high or 3ft and the boys were getting tubed. As the tide started to roll in the Main Peak started to get going and wave height moved up into the solid 3-4ft+ class. The crowd also moved up into the 25-30 class as well. Temple’s wasn’t left out either and there were another 6 surfers scoring some longer lines down there. I packed up shop at 10.00AM just as the wind started to go all variable and pick up in strength, but even so there were still plenty of clean waves coming through. The weather was looking real good earlier this morning but turned all nasty on me on the way home and pissed down rain all the way. Right now @ 4.00PM it’s still raining outside. I was shooting DV today so these new images are just low quality frame grabs I’m sorry, but hang around and I’ll load ya’s up with 3 NEW video clips. If you wanna check out what the grommets of QUICKSILVER INDONESIA are up to over in Australia just go into the main menue on baliwaves.com and open the STORIES section. Like I always say, if a picture’s worth a thousand words, then whats a video clip worth ? That’s me folks I’m done for now, but we’ll be back with more on Bali’s current surfing and weather conditions first thing in the morning. In the mean time start organising ya friends for this years surfing adventure to the wave riddled island of Bali !!!
