**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** G’Day again crew, sorry about the late report yesterday but after 3 hours of trying to unsuccessfully load the new material I finally discovered that baliwaves.com had run out of disk space on the server. But only because we are getting so many surfers tuning in !! As it stands at the moment we’re averaging around 1,700 unique entries per day, and it’s still the bloody wet season !! That’s one of the reasons we’re getting a new look, bigger and better baliwaves.com together in anticipation of twice that amount of traffic come the good old DRY season. Anyway it’s been another good day of waves on both sides of the island again today. The Outer Reefs here in Tuban have had surfers riding all 3 breaks from Kuta Reef, Middle Reef and Airport Lefts . Wave height was ranging from 2-3ft on Kuta Reef and Airports and Middle Reef was faring slightly better with some more solid 3-3ft+ waves on the lower end of the tide. Uluwatu woulda also been producing the goods through the early Am. To start the day off the wind was pretty well non existent then slowly increased into the 3-5knot range coming outta the WSW-SW. 3 of the surfers staying here with me made the trip up to Keramas and also scored some nice waves in the 2-4ft class along with more cleaner off-shore wind. Weather wise around these parts the first half of the day was overcast and cloudy but by midday the temperature was up in the mid 30’s Celcius. Our water temp is still perfect for boardshorts and bikini’s @ 24 degree’s celcius. I haven’t heard any news from Made over at Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa so I’m assuming that there’s not much going on over there. Don’t forget to have a flick through the VIDEO section for the 3 NEW VIDEO CLIPS that I loaded up last night (Uluwatu #’s 1, 2, 3, 21st Jan ’07). Also if ya wanna see how the grommets from Quicksilver Indonesia are doing on the contest scene in Australia just hit the hot link. Ok there’s bound to be more waves again tomorrow so drop in to the baliwaves if ya wanna be in the know. In the mean time start organising ya friends for this years surfing adventure to the wave riddled island of Bali !!!
