**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** G’Day surfers and thanks for droppin in for some more Bali surf and weather info ! Ok, so I was down doing the morning surf recon on the Outer Reefs of Tuban @ 6.30am and wave height has appeared to kicked back into the 2-3ft+ range. The tide was just about at the bottom of a pretty dry and reef exposing Low Tide, according to my eye’s that is. So that counts out Kuta Reef and Airport Left / Right for now. Middle Reef on the other hand is best suited to the lower end of the tide and did have some ok looking head to head high plus (3-3ft+) waves peeling off. But no surfers in sight at that time of the morning, musta been a good night out at the clubs ? The wind was only just coming outta the NNW @ 1-3 knot so surfing conditions were relatively clean and smooth, cross-shore. Right now @ 8.00am the wind has increased in strength to 3-5knot still coming outta the NNW-WNW putting a bit of bump on the face here along the West Coast . I’d have to say that the East Coast would have the better conditions with more direct type off-shore wind and there’d be plenty of locations on offer as the tide is now starting to run in for a “lunch time” High. A few of the boys from here at Home Base Bali have headed off to Keramas for the early and I reckon they’d be scoring some nice waves, we’ll find out when they make it back to base. We’ve also got a couple of new arrivals turning up later today for the Bali Experience ! No report in from Made over at lakey Peak / Sumbawa as yet so I’m assuming the tide is still to dry over there just yet. Outside weather conditions are a bit cooler this morning and there’s plenty of cloud hovering about in all directions visible. Hopefully it’ll blow away and I’ll be able to get on my motor bike and go and shoot some new material for ya’s. I’m thinking somewhere different today cause I know ya’s don’t wanna see the same old crap day after day, right ! But it’s depending on, rain or no rain, ya gotta understand Slim ain’t got no loot to go buying cars and stuff. What little loot he does get he put’s it back into the baliwaves.com to keep it flowing to you surfers ! There’s a thing called “lifestyle” that a lotta of other folk have forgotten all about, but not this little black duck. Hamish, our friend from QUICKSILVER INDONESIA has also filed another up-date on how the Quicksilver Indo Grommet Team are getting on “down under” in Australia and if ya wana check it out hit the high lighted link, too easy. When I was a grommet….. Quicksilver was the only label we’d wear (after Tracker and Stubbies exited). Alrighty then I’m gunna head back down to the beach to see if there’s been any changes since earlier. Check back in later on an we might have something new for ya’s ! Keep them emails flowing if ya want information designed to help your next Indonesian surfing holiday run that little bit smoother. Oh yeah and don’t forget to check out the IHFonline website and show some support to the kind hearted folk helping out with Bali’s way less fortunate families and children, Thanks a Million.
