**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning surfers and thanks for droppin in for the Sunday session on baliwaves.com ! Ok I was down for the early surf recon of the Outer Reefs @ 6.15am and too my surprise wave height had indeed increased up into the 2-4ft range. The tide was still dropping down for 0.8mtr Low set to happen at 10.00am so once again Middle Reef was the best surfing option outta the big 3. She was also picking up the lions share of the swell, in the 2-4ft range. Airport Left was surfable, slightly smaller in the 2-3ft class and with the mid range Low tide should be ok up until the wind kicks in. Kuta Reef wasn’t picking up much swell at all and only breaking in the 1-2ft range, I’d say as the tide starts it’s run back up for the High water line of 2.1mtrs around 5.00pm it’ll all be over on the Outer Reefs. Canggu would have to have a few waves on offer this morning and I wish I was in the water at Medewi right now.. Wind direction was coming outta the NW @ 3-6knot at the time and is more than likely gunna be turning more to the WSW by midday. I also bumped into my good mate “Devis” who rides for Team Quicksilver Indonesia and he was heading up to Keramas over on the East Coast . There’d be plenty on offer up there and definitly the best option for clean waves and off-shore wind. Maybe as the tide starts moving back in anywhere from Green Balls to Nusa Dua would have some bigger size, and for the learners Serangan is your best option. Over on the island of Sumbawa , Made has filed his Sunday surf report via sms and says wave height still remains in the 1-2ft range on Lakey Peak . No wind over there this morning and no surfers in the water @ 7.30am. Total number of International surfers in the area stands at 18. Weather wise outside right now @ 8.15am we’ve got plenty of blue sky and sunshine for the holiday makers, the temperature is already pushing past the mid 20’s on the Celcius scale and water temp still perfect @ 24 C. Well seeing as though it is Sunday I think I’m gunna be taking it easy and kickin back locally for a change, but tomorrow I’m gunna be back out in the field collecting ya’s more surfing eye candy ok. In the meantime if ya wanna see what the local Quicksilver Indonesia Team Grommet boys have been upto “down under” check out the “stories” section on baliwaves.com.
