**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning surfers and welcome back to your 7/7 Bali surf and weather report. This mornings view of surfing conditions here along the West Coast of Bali are not a real pretty picture. Even before the sun had had a chance to rise the wind was already howling outta the W-WSW @ 10-12knot and on-shore. Looking out at the Outer Reefs here in Tuban wave height has backed off from yesterdays 3-5ft worth, back down into the 2-3ft+ class between Kuta Reef and Airports . So today, much like yesterday the best chance for a semi clean wave is gunna be back over at Serangan. yesterday I spoke to a couple of lads who did surf at Serangan and reckoned it wasn’t two bad (just one). With semi clean off/cross-shore wind but with a fair bit of chop on the wave face to contend with, as ya can imagine as the wind ended up gusting up ta 15knot+. Made from over at Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa has filed his SMS surf report @ 7.00AM and says. Wave height on Lakey Peak has increased into the 2-3ft range and there were 3 surfers on the “Peak” at the time of posting. Made also mentioned that he saw some surfers walking down towards Periscope’s . Total number of surfers staying in the area has jumped to 30, understandable with the tide coming around for the early morning High’s. The first of the High Tide’s was at 6.00am @ 1.3mtrs with the Low dropping down to 1.0mtr @ midday and then another bigger High happening around 6.00pm @ 2.0mtrs. Outside weather conditions right now @ 7.40AM are a bit cooler than normal and there was some thick looken cloud blowing about. But as per usual we can count on it being just another warm to hot one by midday, an the temperature should go into the early 30’s on the Celcius scale. The water temp is still fantastic @ 23-24 degree’s Celcius. I’ve got a ride lined up for after lunch and I’m keen to shoot ya’s some more video clips, so hang in there if ya wanna see what it’s really like today. I’d also like ta remind ya’s that the new look baliwaves.com website is still under construction, it is gunna be huge and we’ll have a whole team of local SURFERS out there blasting away with video camera’s 7 days a week. All we do is provide you surfers with up-to date and accurate info on your favourite surfing destination on a daily basis, 7/7.
