**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Goooood morning to all you surfers tunin in to tha baliwaves today ! Well I gotta say that after two good sessions at the Temple last night my mind is as clear as a glass of water from a Tasmanian mountain spring. We had the Full Moon here in Bali last night. Ok, this morning I was down doing the Outer Reef surf check @ 6.45am and wave height has increased up into the 3-5ft class in between Kuta Reef and Airports and breaking hard and powerful. The tide was still running up (sorry I haven’t got any tidal info for 2007 at this point in time, so it’s back to watching the Moon Phase for now) and I’d say we should be expecting a big High water line around 11.00am. The wind was coming outta the WSW @ 8-12knot so surfing conditions along Bali’s West coast are still pretty well trashed out. We did have some rain through the early early AM but the sky’s not looking too bad (just one bad) and I don’t think we’ll be seeing any rainfall untill maybe later this afternoon / evening. Best bet for a surf today is gunna be over at Serangan , and maybe even Sanur Reef might have a few waves peeling through. I’m gunna try and get over to Sanur Reef after lunch with the DV equipment and see just what the score is. Made over at LAKEY PEAK has sent through his report and says that there were 12 surfers sharing the 3 foot left and rights of lakey Peak this morning but surfing conditions were a bit bumpy from the WSW wind. There were another 2 surfers on the Lakey Pipe reef and in my opinion is a better option in that sorta wind. Because as the wave bends back around the reef it turns back facing into the wind and almost off-shore. The number of International surfers staying in that part of Indonesia still remains in the low twenties, and way down on numbers for this time of the year. Alrightio folks that just about sums us up for this morning and just for now I’ve loaded ya’s up some memories of better waves in Bali from yester year. Take care, stay happy and see ya’s here in Bali in 2007 !
