**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy crew and thanks for waiting around for todays surf and weather info straight from the horses mouth, to sorta say. Ok well first up my 6.30am surf recon of the Outer Reefs here in tubing Tuban wasn’t looking too good. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was still holding in the 2ft range but with the wind blowing on-shore outta the WSW @ 4-8knots not real good. Even though, the “boys” from home base Bali still managed to sneak out to Middle Reef for a session by themselves while the tide was still on the bottom of the Low. Over on the East coast of Bali, Serangan is still producing a few head to head high waves for the masses and I do mean masses. Surfing conditions over there are much cleaner with the wind coming off/cross-shore. Made didn’t sms this morning instead he dialed direct and said that wave height over at Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa has dropped down into the 2ft range (waist to shoulder high) and that there was no one out surfing due to on-shore wind and a dry Low tide. he also mentioned that the total number of International surfers in the area has fallen back to around 18 in the whole area, and maybe the whole of Sumbawa for that matter ! Weather wise around Bali today we did get one good rain shower around 8.30am but since then there’s been nothing but blue sky. temperature wise it’d still have to be around 28-29 degree’s Celcius right now at 3.15pm, the humidity level would also have ta be up there in the early 90’s. I had a bit of a brouse at the swell charts last night and the good news is that we should see a more Southerly swell hitting Bali sometime in the next 72hrs give or take a few. Alrighty then that’s us for today but ya can expect more tomorrow morning form me. I also better say welcome back to Troy (the man behind the scene at baliwaves.com) so get ready for the new look baliwaves coming to a computer near you very soon. See ya’s over here in 2007.
