**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves surf and weather (7/7day) info website . Ann moving right along, this mornings optical of the Outer Reefs was showing a slight drop in wave height but Huey is still producing 2-4 footers. The wind was already up and coming outta the West @ 5-9knot when I was on the beach @ 7.00am. Kuta Reef was breaking in the 2-3ft+ range and there were a few ridable waves coming through for the 3-4 surfers already in the water. It might not have been perfect but at least those guys had it all to themselves. The tide was still running up for a 1.6mtr High happening around 10.00AM and then running back out for a 1.0mtr Low @ 4.30PM. Middle Reef was still showing the most swell on the Outers with 4ft+ waves (a few feet over head on the surfers scale), but not handling the on-shore wind. Down the other end of the Reef at Airport Left wave height was only in the 2-3ft class and once again no surfers out there. Over on the East Coast of Bali this morning there’s sure to be some nice waves happening at just about all locations from Nusa Dua all the way North to Keramas . Surfing conditions will be best, straight off-shore wind, through the early to mid morning before the wind swings further around to the WSW-SW. I’m gunna try and get across to the other side for a look at whats going down, if I can secure some wheels or hitch a ride. Yesterday “Fat Bazz” said he was surfing at Sri-Lanka in head to head high plus waves, but he also said a lot of other surfers were too. The news from Made over at Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa is; fark it I’m out there ! Wave height on the Peak is holding in the 2-4ft range with bugger all wind happening this morning. At last things are starting to get back to how it should be. Just for the record if ya wanna try the Lakey Peak experience there are all different priced hotels available in the area from budget to top shelf. Ann all of em are located right infront of the main surfing arena, drop us a line for more info and well help ya get there for cost price and wallet intact. Weather wise around Tuban this morning, so far so good. Plenty of blue sky for the holidaying beach go’r, we’re in for more warm to hot midday temperature and the water temp is perfect for boardies and bikini’s @ 24 degree’s Celcius. Actually we haven’t had any rain what so ever for quite awhile now ! On the swell forecasting front I think we’re in for nothing but good times ahead with more swell in transit to our happy little holiday island of Bali, so start packing them board bags now. On the dollar changing scene everythings pretty stable and –1AU$=Rp7,000 — 1US$=Rp9,000 — give or take a 100 Rupiah.
