**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning surfers and welcome to another week of baliwaves, and that means more high quality photos and lots of new video clips of your favourite surfing locations here in Bali. These latest photos were shot down at Uluwatu yesterday the 18th and Uluwatu was the place to be if you were after Bali type waves ! We arived on location around 8.30am to find around 15 surfers in the water riding the Main Peak section. Wave height was cranking through upta 5ft, or double over head for the new comers to surfing, and cranking. Wind direction was straight off-shore outta the East @ 3-6knot so you can imagine how clean it all was. There were also some solid 5 footers coming through on the Temple section and another half a doz surfers getting shacked down there (I loaded a couple of photos of Temple’s as well, long range photography). We hung out until 1.00pm and the waves were still smokin when we left with the tide starting to run out. I’d say the Ractrack woulda been going off towards the later part of the afternoon… Coming home past Impossible’s there were a few 2 footers running down the reef but I didn’t see any surfers in the water. This morning the 19th and @ 6.45am my surf check of the Outer Reefs was showing another perfect day of surfing on the way. More clean Easterly off-shore wind @ 2-4knot, blowing along Bali’s West Coast . Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airports was still hanging in there in the 2-4ft range. The tide was just coming off the botton of a New Moon Low tide so Middle Reef was looking the best for now @ 3-4ft and two surfers in the water. Kuta Reef and Airports will improve around mid morning as the tide moves back in and there should be plenty of 2-3 footers for everyone involved. Devis (TEAM QUICKSILVER INDONESIA) has gone up to Canggu for an early paddle so we’ll get the run down from him later this afternoon. No news from Lakey Peak this morning so Made must be in the water surfing again…. Can’t blame him for that either hey, that’s where I’m gunna be as soon as I get this report done. Did I mention I also loaded new photos onto the bodyboarders page ? I’ve also got MORE VIDEO to edit from Uluwatu yesterday and I’ll get onto that after I get a few waves under my belt, so drop by later on before ya clock off ! Well as far as I’m concerned the season is starting to kick in already, and it’s about time we had an early change. Last year we had to wait until May… Weather wise here in Tuban it’s another classic morning with nothing but clear blue sky and the smell of off-shore wind in the air. We’ll be heading for a temperature in the early 30’s Celcius while the water temperature is perfect for playing in @ 24 degree’s Celcius.
