**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE ****S Good morning folks and welcome back for another week of baliwaves. Well I tell ya’s, yesterday just as I was finishing up on the PC and thinking positively about going down for a few fun little waves it started. In a matter of one minute after shutting it all down it started to absolutely piss down rain for the next two hours straight. The wind also kicked in with the rain blowing it in outta the SSW and needless to say I had to throw off. For any of ya’s that know “Jalan Kartika Plaza” well there was plenty of bow waves to watch out for, and I also think that they woulda been sand bagging the shops in the Poppies / Kuta and Legian area’s to hold back the rain water. This morning @ 6.30am when I went down for a surf check of the Outer Reefs the wind was blowing off-shore outta the ESE @ 1-3knot but wave height was looking a bit sadder. Down into the 1-2ft class and not really anything much at all worth surfing between Kuta Reef and Airport Left . But that was then, hopefully we’ll get a short little pulse as the tide starts to push in, ya never know. So anywhere down on the Southern end of the island at Uluwatu around to Nusa Dua for small but clean waves. The beach breaks up along the Kuta / Legian strip might be another option around midday onwards. Made has filed in his sms surf report from Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa (@ 6.50am) and says that wave height is still breaking nicely at 2-3ft on Lakey Peak and that there were only 11 surfers in the water, at the moment there’s only around 40 international surfers staying in the entire area. I’ll get back to ya’s later this evening if there’s any changes surf wise around these parts ok.
