****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
And a big hello to all you surfers turning up for some baliwaves this first day of March. Another one down and another month closer to all day off-shore wind. Anyway, this morning @ 7.00am when I went down for the surf recon of the Outer Reefs, it was good to see that there has definitly been some improvement in wave height. The wind was still only light outta the SW @ 0-2knot, on-shore but surfing conditions were clean and glassy. Kuta Reef was still pretty small but surfable @1-2 feet. Middle Reef was pulling some 3-4 footers and if the wind holds off should improve as the tide continues to run out. Airport Left was also showing some fun looking 2-3 footers but no surfers in the water at that time of the morning. I’d imagine it woulda been on the cards that Uluwatu had a few slightly bigger and better waves down there earlier as well.
Made has filed his sms surf report for Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa and says wave height has picked up to 2-3ft+ on Lakey Peak. No wind @ 7.30am and surfing conditions were pretty good for the 15 surfers out on the Peak.
Tide wise today here in Bali the High tide of 1.5mtrs has just peaked now @ 9.45am, the Low will be a 1.1mtr around 3.00pm. Today started off cloudy with some light showers around the place but has cleared up quite a bit since and looks like being another hot beach type day. Ok then I’m just gunna do this quickly for now as there’s a chance of getting in a surf, maybe. So drop by later on if ya get the time and I’ll be able to fill ya’s in more on the big picture.
Changing dollars to Rupiah out on the streets you’ll roughly be getting something like, –1AU$=Rp7,175 –1US$=Rp9,050.
