**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy crew, thanks for hanging in there for another look at Bali’s surf and weather conditions here on the baliwaves.com Well more rain through the night and into this morning, an I don’t think it’s finished for the day yet. Down at the beach earlier around 8.00am the wind was already up and coming outta the WNW @ 5-10knot on-shore. Wave height on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was still breaking in the 2-4ft range but too messy for a surf. Kuta Reef @ 1-2ft, Middle Reef @ 2-4ft, Airport Left @ 2-3ft . The East Coast will be the place to go look for waves today and I reckon you’d find some good ones up at Keramas. Likewise down on the Southern end of the Bali at Green Balls, Sri-Lanka and Nusa Dua . I’ve also heard that the beach breaks of Padang Galak (Secrets) have been producing the odd A-frame peak. Speaking of peaks, Made has filed in his Lakey Peak sms surf report, from the island of Sumbawa . Made informs us that wave height is still hitting lakey’s in the 2-3ft+ range. The Peak had the best waves this morning at head to head high plus, Lakey Pipe was smaller at 2-2ft+, not enough swell for any action at Periscopes at the moment. They’ve also got cloudy weather this morning, but what they haven’t got is any wind at all, so surfing conditions are clean and glassy for the morning session. Ok so what we got here in Bali today is a return to Westerly on-shore wind here along the West Coast, or if you were hanging out on the East Coast you’d be pretty stoked with the straight off-shore wind. Tide wise around Bali we have a 1.8mtr High happening at 10.00am, then a 0.8 Low around 3.00pm. The next Full Moon is going down tomorrow night the 3rd of March so we will see some big tide range differences over the next few days. Another thing I couldn’t help but notice again this morning was the smell of dead fish in the WNW wind. Not the best, it seems like every time the wind has any North in it we’re getting fished out. Ok for now that’s it, but I suppose I better fill ya’s in that Slim will be out on location over the next couple of weeks but I’ll still be keeping ya’s in the loop with what’s going on.
