MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy crew and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com again today. My 6.30am surf recon of the Outer Reefs didn’t leave much for the old imagination to play with as wave height between Kuta Reef and Aiport Left was only just showing in the 1ft range on the bigger set waves. Wave height started to fade out yesterday around lunch time and has continued dropping through the night. The tide is still running out at the moment, it’s just gone 8.30am here in Bali , and should bottom out around 11.00am. I’d say there might be some waves for the grommets or the very keen surfers down at Uluwatu , but I wouldn’t expect it to be more than waist to shoulder high at best. Weather wise it’s pretty faultless out there this morning, perfect holiday weather and another hotty coming up. I did have a squiz at the swell and synoptic charts yesterday and we already have another couple of “back to back” type swells in transit to Indo and we might even start to see it showing by later this afternoon or tomorrow. So we haven’t got long to wait. I’ll be heading back down the beach after lunch for a swim and another surf check and if there’s any changes out there I’ll get back to ya’s. Ok then have a good one out there and stay tuned cause we’ll have more surf and weather info coming at ya’s all through the weekend.
Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa . 14th April 07. Made’s morning sms surf report from Lakey’s was calling micro conditions for the crew over there with only 1 footers breaking out the front on Lakey Peak and virtually flat across the channel on Lakey Pipe.
