**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Good morning to all you surfers dropping in to the baliwaves.com daily surf and weather rundown. I was down doing the surf check of the Outer Reefs of Tuban at 7,00am just about the same time that tide was reaching the bottom of it’s 0.7mtr run out. Wind direction was coming outta the NE @ 3-6knot and pretty much off-shore between Kuta Reef and Airports. As the tide starts to run back in there will be some ok 2-3 footers breaking on Kuta Reef and Airport Left, it was just a bit to shallow at the time. But Middle Reef was smoking through wave after wave in the 2-4ft class, well over head on the sets. There was already a crew of around half a dozen surfers out and it looked like they were having a ball. I know it would be much better down at Uluwatu and that the Racetrack woulda been belting through barrels upta 4-4ft plus. Probably some waves breaking on that long stretch of reef of Impossible’s, and may be even a small ones at Bingin before the tide gets near the 2.3mtr High set for 1.30pm. I’ll be taking another look at he waves around lunch time and if there’s anything special going on I’ll give ya’s an afternoon up-date. Tomorrow I’ll be heading straight down to Uluwatu to set up on the Racetrack section so that’s gunna be worth a wait and see. Weather wise outside, the birds are singing and the sky is blue. Right now at 10.00am I’d say the temperature would be easily sitting on 26 degree’s C, shaping up for another top day down at the beach. Ok then that’s us for now I’ve gotta go an throw a few new photos up for the bodyboarders I suppose. So have a good one and we’ll see ya over here soon ! Listen crew I still need a bit of a hand, I only ask when I need too and right now I need your help. I know ya’s all like the video clips I’ve been loading up on baliwaves.com. Well the old Sony has just about packed it in and I now have a once in a lifetime offer to score a Cannon XL2 Video Camera from a professional friend. I’m exactly AU$800.00 short of the mark and have got until Saturday to find it or someone else is on stand by to buy it. Now this camera is around 7 grand to buy new and will get us much closer to the action making the video clips so much better in quality, for your pleasure. So please folks if you can spare a few bucks for the baliwaves cause please, thanks crew. Drop me a line and I’ll tell you how to get it to us. I’ve already gotta a give a BIG THANKS to the Crew who have already helped out the baliwaves.com cause. The needed funds has now dropped to AU$220.00 !!!
Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa: Made has sms’d through his 7.00am surf report from the Aman Gati Hotel located right in front of “The Peak” and says; there were 10 surfers in the water on Lakey Peak at the time with the waves still pretty small in the 1-2ft+ range. No one out over on Lakey Pipe only breaking at 1-2ft. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the ESE wind not making it’s presence felt until late morning. Another 10 surfers checked out of the area yesterday taking the total number of visiting surfers back down to 40.
