AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy folks and thanks for hanging around for the afternoon run down on whats been happening around here today. Well I went down for the morning surf check of Kuta Reef to Airport Left on the Outer Reefs at 6.00am , wave height was showing some definite improvement on yesterdays micro sized surf Kuta Reef had some nice little peelers coming through up to head high on the set waves with around 20 surfers out there having a good time. The tide was coming in a bit to fast for Middle Reef , we had a high of 2.4mtrs around 10.00am, but there were still a few surfers out there with wave height in the head to head high plus range. Airport Left had a solid crowd sitting in the line up and wave height was in the waist to head high class. Weather wise the day started off with a bright blue sky but then around 9.30 we got clouded over, and it’s still that way now at 4.00pm. Wind direction was coming outta the North first up @ 1-3knot before the ESE Tradewind kicked in at 9.30am and cleaned everything up with straight off-shore wind from Legian to Uluwatu. But anyway for now just check out these latest photos from Kuta Reef this morning. The boss from the Indies Trader charter boat has also sent me another batch of photos from their last voyage so I’ll try and get those loaded up on the Mentawai Islands page for ya’s later tonight. I think wave height might be backing off againfor tomorrow, but get ready for the weekend as we are expecting some more big waves hitting the reefs of Bali ! Have a good one even if your not here in Bali just yet. Hey and we better give a Special Thanks to Wade Greenway over in Singapore who tells me he’s just posted me a brand new 2 x converter for the New Cannon XL2 camera that we’re using to shoot the video clips on baliwaves.com with. Pretty soon we’re going to be taking you on a trip inside the barrel via Video !
