MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning groovers and welcome aboard the baliwaves.com surf and weather info scene . Yesterday afternoon I was down on the beach around sunset time scanning the horizon for some sign of our impending new swell, but there was no sign. How ever, when I went down for another recon of the Outer Reefs this morning at 6.00am there was definitely some new swell starting to show. Infact I even saw one wave break in the shoulder to head high range, but just one of. The tide was pretty well at the top of the High water line and the wind was howling outta the ESE-SE, off-shore @ 10-15knot . Kuta Reef wasn’t really ready for surfing but maybe as the tide turns and starts to run back down there might be a few smallies out there . Middle Reef likewise, down at Airport Left there were already half a dozen surfers in the water and wave height was a consistent 1-2ft. Weather wise there’s some solid banks of cloud moving up from the South and a good indicator of a new swell on it’s way. I was in for a swim yesterday morning and the water temp has also dropped down to an icy 21 degree’s Celsius, well icy for anyone acclimatized to warmer water. I’d have to say the best bet for a wave this morning would have to be up along the Kuta to Legian stretch of beach breaks where you’d be able to find some waist to shoulder high waves while the tide is still up. I’ll be keeping a close eye on the ocean through out the day and will keep ya’s informed if there are any changes in wave height. The DIVERSE surf team has also arrived in Bali so keep your eye’s open for these guys tearing it up. Ok then that’s us for now, have a good one and try and get some work done while we’re still waiting for the next swell to hit. Just a reminder that The good guys at www.ihfonline.org who have been running the Balinese Orphan Schooling Program are in serious need of financial help to keep their operation above water, so please if anyone can help these fantastic people please drop them a line.
