MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning friends and thanks for dropping in for what’s not happening surf and weather wise here in Bali today . That’s right what’s not happening surf and weather wise. I went down for the 6.30am surf check of the Outer Reefs of Tuban and there was nothing happening in the way of waves, half to one foot on the bigger set ripple’s. But wait, there’s still more. The wind direction was coming straight outta the South at 1-3knot and light on-shore on both sides of the island. But at least the wind will change to ESE-SE at some stage today, but there ain’t gunna be no change in wave height for at least another 48-72hrs. It was pretty cloudy earlier but now at 9.15am the sky is starting to clear up and we’re in for a hot one around the beach. The temperature will surely reach into the low thirties on the Celsius scale while the water temperature has dropped down to around 20-21 degree’s Celsius. The tide was still pretty low earlier so I’d say if you were one of the “have to go for a surf type” you’d be best off heading down to Uluwatu where you might just find some waist to shoulder high surf medicine. For anyone wanting to know what the dollar exchange rate is on the streets of Tuban / Kuta you’ll find that –1AU$=Rp7,550 – 1US$=Rp9,000 – 1EU$=Rp12,050 (give or take 50 Rupiah). Ok crew there’s not much to do except sit tight and wait for the next swell to hit us. I’ll keep ya’s in the loop if there are any significant changes. So until then have a good one and put ya head down and get a bit of work done !
