AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Hey crew thanks for hanging in there for the afternoon run down on today’s surf and weather conditions here in down town surf central Bali . I made my first surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban this morning at 6.45am . Wind direction was coming outta the ESE @ 5-9knot and clean off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu. The tide was on the run in heading for a late morning High water line. Wave height had indeed increased in size over night into the 2-5ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left (as far as the eye could see). Kuta Reef was peeling off 2-3ft+ sized waves and all going unridden while the boys were getting their grommet contest organized for another days competing. Middle Reef was smoking through at 3-5ft and there were a few surfers out there sampling them. Airport Left was also breaking nicely in the 2-4ft range. I’d also have to imagine that around the other side of the airport runway Airport Right woulda been peeling off in the 2-4ft range. Me I had my sights set on getting down to Uluwatu with the video camera and that’s what I did. I arrived down at Uluwatu to a picture perfect scene of ultra clean waves hitting the Main Peak in the 3-6ft class. While the tide was at the top of the High the best waves were on the Main Peak . I hung out shooting until 12.30pm as the weather starting to cloud over and I wanted to get home without getting me or my camera gear wet. But you could clearly see that the Racetrack was gunna really turn on as the tide drained off for the afternoon reef exposing Low tide. But we still did ok and I’ve managed to load ya’s up 3 NEW VIDEO CLIPS plus these 10 frame grabs. That should hold ya’s over until tomorrow at least. Ok enjoy the show and make sure ya tune in tomorrow afternoon for the baliwaves.com SUNDAY SESSION . Have a good weekend and behave yaselves !
