**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy crew and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com 7/7 daily surf and weather report site. Well I got off to a late start today but I still made it down for a surf check of the Outer Reefs here in down town Tuban. Wave height is still hanging around there’s still plenty of waves out there again today. Kuta Reef was breaking in the 2-3ft or waist to head high range and there were plenty of surfers out there at the time. Middle Reef was pulling in slightly more size with the 3-3ft+ set waves . Airport Left was also producing some nice 20-25yrd rides in the 1-3ft range. The wind has been howling outta the ESE-SE @ 10-20knot since about 8.30am this morning, straight off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu. Tide wise today we had a 0.6mtr Low @ 7.00am and then a 2.3mtr High @ 1.00pm . Weather wise outside right now there’s nothing blue sky and sunshine with the temperature currently sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius . I’ve been pretty busy this morning and I’ve fially got yesterdays video clips editing and ready to load up, so you’ll be able to check em out later this evening. Well worth the effort if I don’t say so myself ! I’ve also cut some frame grabs for the body boarding sector of baliwaves.com. Dan from the Super Bank on Australia’s Gold Coast has sent us in some for photos and surf info on his report page. The boys from Kandui Surf Resort up in the Mentawai islands have also filed another report from their part of Indonesia . Pierre has done his thing for ya’s and sent in another Readers Report and photos. I’m thinking pretty soon we’ll also have Fat Baz filing reports from another well known surfing location in Australia , namely Bells Beach . Ok crew gotta keep moving so I can get those video clips loaded up. Tune in again tomorrow and we’ll have plenty more surfing for ya’s straight outta Bali / Indonesia . I also better mention me and some of the crew from Home Base Bali had dinner at the Dewi Sri . More like a feast would be a better description. And everyone was totally stoked and all vowing to return for more Live Sea Food. Catch ya’s tomorrow ! Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa; Onky has filed his sms surf report from Lakey’s and says that wave height has dropped back into the head to head high plus range today. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with no wind at 7.30am. There were 15 surfers riding the left and rights of Lakey Peak and another 5 surfers at Lakey Pipe . Onky says the total number of surfers staying at lakey’s is still sitting around 95. Weather wise over there this morning conditions were cloudy and grey with light rainfall happening. For anyone want ing to try out Lakey Peak make sure you check the tidal information before you head over there. It’s pretty important that you line up your time there while the High Tide is happening through the early am and then progressing forward each day. That way you’ll be assured of scoring perfection. Merpati Airlines are flying there daily from Bali and you can buy your tickets from a 1000 different travel agents anywhere in Bali (and save yourselves some dollars by doing it on your pat malone) Once your in Bima there’s transport drivers waiting to take you to Lakey Peak for around Rp500,000 per van, and that’s split between the surfers. Then ya got a range of Hotels to choose from all right in front of the waves, ranging from low low budget to the very very comfortable rooms of the Aman Gati Hotel. Plus ya can always drop us an email for more information on getting across to lakey’s
