Bali Surf Report – July 20 2007

**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hello friends of Bali and welcome back to the only daily Bali surf and weather info website on the net. This morning I was up early and down for the dawn surf check of the Outer Reefs of Tuban. The wind was already strong outta the ESE-SE @ 10-12knot and straight off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu. The tide was almost on the bottom of a 0.6mtr Low set for around 8.00am. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airports has dropped off a touch over night but there was still the odd 3 footer (head high) coming through on Middle Reef and Airport Left . There were 3 surfers in the water at Middle’s and a couple more down at Airport Left. There was even one un educated surfer riding a very shallow looking Kuta Reef in the knee high range. Dewa Made has just hit the road for Uluwatu and hopefully my local surf photographer mate Ari Ajus will help us out with some more high quality photos to bring home. But he has taken the digimatic just incase Ari’s thrown a sicky. There should still be some nice 4 footers happening down at Uluwatu today and would be the best option for a paddle. Especially as the tide starts to roll back in for a 2.3mtr High around 1.30pm. It’s also probably a good size for a beach break option today anywhere up along the Kuta to Legian strip of beach, and around lunch time you’ll find the best conditions. Weather wise today there was a bit of cloud hanging about just after the dawn but now at 9.00am she’s clearing up nicely and were gunna be in for another hot and sunny day here along Bali’s famous south western coastline. Not too bad hey, we’ve got some waves around, clean off-shore wind and sweet sunshine to go with it all. What are ya’s waiting for, Bali ’s where it’s at ! Changing dollars out on the streets of Kuta you’ll find; — 1AU$=Rp7,800 – 1US$=Rp9,050 . Ok what I’ve done for ya’s last night was to load up another 6 new VID E O CLIPS , 5 surfing and 1 bodyboarding clips from Uluwatu. There’s another batch of images on the bodyboarding page as well. And Dewa will be back with more surfing photos for ya’s later this afternoon. Plus there’s more Mentawai islands surf info from the good guys at Kandui Surf Resort to check out. Looking at the swell prediction info on the net this morning and it’s not gunna be too much longer and we’ll be rolling in new swell, next week is looking loaded with the stuff !
