**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy crew and welcome aboard for the baliwaves.com Sunday Session . Well like I mentioned yesterday our new swell has started to arrive and we’ve got some nice waves happening along Bali ’s South Western coastline . I went down for the 6.30am surf recon of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban to find wave height coming through in the 2-3ft+ range on Middle Reef . The tide was getting towards the bottom of 0.7mtr Low (9.00am) so it was a still a touch too shallow for Kuta Reef and Airport Left . The wind was up early again today, howling outta the ESE-SE @ 15-20knot . But straight off-shore from Legian all the way down to Uluwatu. I grabed my 600mm and SLR and made tracks for Uluwatu , arriving around 10.00am. There were only something like 40 surfers spread out from the Main Peak down through to the Racetrack . Wave height was rocking through in the 2-4ft+ class and there was some nice tube rides on offer for those who were *capable. As the tide started it’s run back in for a 1.8mtr High (3.00pm) the Main Peak started to tidy up and also dish out some good one’s, and a few floggings as well. By the time I packed up there was something like 75+ surfers in the water between Temple ’s and the Racetrack , not bad for a total distance of around 1000yrds. Coming home past Padang Padang and Impossible’s there was bugger all breaking at Padang Padang but there were a few 2-3ft lines peeling down the reef at Impossible’s and around 30 surfers sprinkled through em. Weather wise today it’s been bloody hot down at Uluwatu, with the temperature being at least around 32 degree’s Celsius, outta the shade. Stick around crew cause there’s gunna be heaps of waves happening here in Bali through out next week and we’re gunna be all over em for ya’s. If your interested in knowing what the dollar exchange rates around Kuta are; — 1AU$=Rp7,900 –1US$=Rp9,075 – Ok then then enjoy what’s left of the weekend and we’ll expect ya’s back again on Monday morning for some more baliwaves.
