**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** G’Day crew and thanks for hanging around for the run down on todays surfing conditions here in Bali . Well firstly yesterday was a bit weird as the wind stayed outta the West and on-shore along Bali ’s surfing coastline right through until around midday, then turned off-shore outta the ESE-SE. This morning things were getting back to normal though. My first surf check was at 6.30am and there were some nice waves peeling through on Kuta Reef . Wave height had dropped a touch more but still not too bad at 2-3ft+. Middle Reef was still drawing in a bit more size @ 3-4ft+ but with the morning High Tide of 2.1mtrs @ 8.00am was a bit fat . Airport Left was also looking like fun @ 2-4ft and there woulda possibly been a few 2-3ft+ waves breaking around on Airport Right . The wind was coming outta the SE @ 8-12knot from shortly after sunrise, off-shore from Uluwatu to Legian beach . I took these current photos down at Uluwatu , I was on the scene from 8.30am up until 11.00am. When I arrived there was only 8 surfers in the water with wave height coming through in the solid 3-5ft+ range. When I left thre were only 3 left in the line-up. Go figure that ? Coming home past Padang Padang and Impossible’s there wasn’t too much breaking at Padang Padang but the boys from Rip Curl were still on location hoping for an increase in size so they could start the contest. Impossible’s has a few lines peeling down the reef in the 2-4ft range and there were quite a few surfers sprinkled through the lines. Weather wise we goit off to a great start with plenty of blue sky and sunshine but now at high noon we’re starting to get a bitta cloud blow over us. I’m gunna try and get back out there for some more images etc for ya’s again tomorrow, but for now I’m going fishing. Dan from the Super Bank has got ya’s some more sick photos from the Gold Coast and the lads from Kandui Surf Resort up in the Mentawai’s have sent us some equally sick photos of “Rasta” who is visiting them at the moment. Plus Pierre has done his thing on the Readers Report , so have a flick through the baliwaves and we’ll see ya’s again tomorrow ok. Take it easy out there, especially if your not already here in Bali .
