MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves.com daily surf and weather info website. Well yesterday I had an unexpected change in plans. Seeing as though Kuta Reef was starting to get a bit fat on the approaching high tide I opted for a run down to Uluwatu. As ya’s can see in these latest photos it was cranking down at Ulu with wave height coming through in the solid 3-5ft range (upta double head high plus). The Main Peak was producing the best waves but every now and then a smoker would peel off up on the Temple section. Pretty well non stop action down at Uluwatu and local surfers Ketut Pitur and Made Lana were in control. No shortage of surfers either and at one stage I had a head count of 65 surfers spread over a couple a hundred yards of the reef. This morning I went down for my surf check of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban and wave height appears to have dropped off a touch. Between Kuta Reef and Airport left it was showing to be in the 2-4ft class. The tide was on the bottom of a none reef exposing Low tide and the wind was coming lightly outta the ESE @ 3-6knot . Off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu . At 7.00am there were already half a dozen surfers in the water on Kuta Reef with 2-3 footers peeling through. KR will improve through the incoming tide and then more than likely fatten up towards the top of the tide . Middle Reef was breaking nicely @ 2-4ft and there were also another half a dozen riders in the line-up. Down at Airport left we’ve got 1-3 footers and there were 4 reef taxi’s parked over in the channel. Weather wise it’s looking good for the crew here on holiday. Plenty of blue sky and sunshine , with waves at most locations along Bali ’s South Western Coastline. Temperature wise it’s gunna get warm with the mercury easily reaching the 30 degree Celsius mark by midday. The water temperature is perfect at 22-23 degree’s Celsius. Ok slightly smaller waves today but get ready cause that’s gunna start changing by tomorrow. And I mean it’s really gunna start changing and by Thursday we should see some World Class surf here in Bali . I gotta run now and get some other stuff organized but I’ll try and get back to ya’s later this afternoon with some more photos later this afternoon / evening. Have a good one and remember, it’s never to late for a surfing holiday in Bali ! And don’t forget to check out the Mentawai Surf Report from the guys at Kandui Surf Resort.
