MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE **** Hello and thanks for stopping by for the daily dose of Bali surf and weather info. It was a bit of a late start for us today. Mainly because by late afternoon yesterday wave height was already fading away and there wasn’t much gunna be happening today wave wise. And that turned out to be pretty well right. This morning when I went down for the surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban wave height was down in the 1-2ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left . The tide has been running in for a 2.4mtr High set for midday and that hasn’t helped the situation either. The wind has been blowing strong off-shore outta the ESE @ 8-12knot+ since 8.00am and still is now. The best option for a wave around this part of the island is up along the too many to mention beach breaks anywhere between Kuta and Legian. Or maybe down at Uluwatu there would be something breaking but I wouldn’t be expecting too much. Earlier I had a sms come through from down at Margaret River in Western Australia telling me to get ready as wave height down that way was already pushing 3-4mtrs and heading our way. So hopefully we’re gunna be starting to see some new swell hitting our reefs anytime in the next 24-36hrs . Weather wise it’s just another dry season day outside, full of blue sky and sunshine. Not much else to rave on about from me for now but ya can find more photos and surf reports from the Super Bank / Mentawai islands and of course the Readers Report pages on baliwaves.com. Have a good one and unless your getting ready for your imminent flight into Indonesia stay tuned right here.
