AFTERNOON UP-DATE **** Hello friends and thanks for dropping in to the baliwaves.com SUNDAY SESSION . Ok so when I went down for the 7.00am surf check of the Outer Reefs it had appeared that wave height had had a slight increase in size, pushing into the 1-2ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left . The wind was already coming outta the ESE-SE @ 8-12knot and straight off-shore from the beach breaks of Legian to the southern end of the island and Uluwatu. We had a 2.2mtr High tide at 9.00am so there was plenty enough water over the reef and surfers in the water on all of the big 3 sections. Weather wise it was cloudy and overcast with a few scattered drops of rain in the air. I hung around here in Tuban until the tide peaked and was on the run out and then made the motor bike run down to Uluwatu to see what was happening down there. As ya’s can see in these current photos surfing conditions were clean and tidy with wave height in the 2-3ft+ range. There was no shortage of surfers in the water with something like 100 riders out there between the Temple and Racetrack sections. As the tide was heading down for the 0.3mtr Low (4.00pm) the Racetrack was starting to produce a few nice tube rides but there with a bit of a wait for the bigger waves. Coming home past Padang Padang and Impossible’s there wasn’t anything at all breaking at Padang x 2 but there was a few little waist to shoulder high waves running down the reef at I mpossible’s . Tomorrow I think it’s gunna drop back off again with not too much happening surf wise, except at Uluwatu . Hopefully sometime around mid week we should see a new swell gracing our reef and beach breaks and a return of solid waves. Me like I mentioned I’ll be heading over to Singapore tomorrow for my new Kitas Visa (3-4 full days off island…) but I’ll still be delivering the daily reports with help from our man Dewa Made who’ll be hear on the scene passing on all the info.
