AFTERNOON UP-DATE **** howdy folks and I though I’d just bring ya’s upta date on what,s been happening around Bali surf wise since this morning report. We’ll like I said I went out to Middle Reef for a paddle with a few of the guests from here at Home Base Bali and we were not disappointed. Wave height was a very consistent 3-4ft+ with the odd double head high freak set. Crowd wise it did get a bit busy and at one stage there musta been something like 35 surfers scattered about. But all in all it was a pretty friendly type bunch out there. A couple of our other guests opted to head down south to Uluwatu to see what was happening and reported back that wave height was in the 3-4ft+ range but kinda lumpy and a bit bumpy for some reason. After we rubbed Middle Reef into them they quickly decided to grab their boards and hit it for the afternoon sunset session. Weather wise we’ve had a mixture of sunshine and cloud cover with the ESE-SE Tradewind picking up in strength to aro around 15-18knot . Straight off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu . Ok I gotta get cleaned up and report into the DEWI SRI Live Seafood Restaurant and hopefully I’ll catch some of ya’s down there for some surf talk. And don’t forget tomorrow we’ll be heading down south somewhere to shoot ya’s some more eye candy, so call by again tomorrow for the scoop on Bali’s surf and weather conditions.
MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hello surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves this fine sunny day (well here in Bali anyway). Ok well things have had a change for the better this morning and we finally have some more waves gracing our reef and beach breaks . When I went down for the surf check of the Outer Reefs at 7.00am there were some decent waves breaking in the 2-3ft+ range on Middle Reef . The tide was still on the way down for a 0.8mtr Low (10.30am) and the wind was coming hard off-shore outta the ESE-SE @ 8-12knot . Kuta Reef and Airport Left weren’t picking up much of the new swell at the time and still a bit too small for surfing. Maybe later this afternoon as the tide runs back up for a 1.4mtr High around 4.30pm, and if the swell kicks in a bit more there might be something to surf at KR and AL. Weather wise it was also nice to start the day of with a blue sky and sunshine, unlike the cloudy and grey mornings we have had. I’m thinking you’d be able to take a pick of few different locations for surfing this morning. Low tide at Bingin should be producing the odd waist to shoulder high set, maybe some similar sized waves on the end of Impossible’s as well. Balangan should have a few when the tide starts to run back in and of course Uluwatu would have to be in the 2-4ft range all day. As soon as I get this typed and loaded for ya’s I’m gunna sneak out for a few at Middle Reef with some of the surfers staying with us here at Home Base Bali . So there we go everyone should be smiling again after our 5 days of super small waves. And the charts are indication a bit more size again for tomorrow . We’ll be heading down to Uluwatu ourselves tomorrow to shoot ya’s some more photos and video . So have a good one for now and stay tuned to the one and only original Bali surf report website . Don’t forget if any of ya’s visiting this happy little holiday island want to say hello to Slim and grab some FREE baliwaves.com stickers just call into the Dewi-Sri Live Seafood Restaurant on Jalan Kartika Plaza in Tuban between 7.00-9.00pm. Stay tuned to the original Bali surf and weather website and I’ll keep ya’s in the know.
