AFTERNOON UP-DATE **** Nothing much to tell ya’s except that I could tell by the look on Dewa Made’s face when he got back from Uluwatu that there weren’t no waves down there today. Our guy got back to Home base around 1.30pm and reckoned it was just too small for surfing. But there were infact quite a few learners out there clocking up some water time at Uluwatu. I’m thinking our next real swell should be arriving some time in the next 48-72hrs plus or minus. But anyway I have got a few other photos to show ya’s from out and about Bali plus I’ll keep loading more photos into the August Surfing Gallery , we still got around 200 to drop in there. Ok stay cool and I’ll be down at the Dewi Sri later if anyone’s looking for me and then back with the latest news on surf and weather conditions tomorrow morning.
MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning surfers and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com daily Bali surf and weather report station. Well I certainly made the right call going for a surf yesterday while there was still some solid 3-4 footers available. Because you know what, this morning wave height has virtually disintergrated back to 1-1.5ft here on the Outer Reefs of Tuban. I went down for a surf recon at 7.30am and things were looking pretty sad wave wise between Kuta Reef and Airport left . Nothing at all breaking on KR while the tide was still fullish at 1.7mtr’s. Middle Reef had something like 15-20 surfers in the line-up but wave height woulda been lucky to be reaching nipple high on the freak sets , and I didn’t see too many of them I tell ya’s. Further down the line at Airport Left there were also a few surfers in the water with wave height around the waist high level. Wind direction was coming outta the ESE-SE @ 7-10knot and straight off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu. Weather wise outside this morning we got a good looking beach day coming on with blue sky and sun shine in abundance. I’ve already got Dewa Made in transit to Uluwatu with the video camera to see if he can find anything interesting for ya’s to have a look at. In the mean time I’m gunna keep loading up the Surfing Gallery page for August , so have a flick through there while your waiting. Our friend down under on the Super Bank has also sent us through some new photos and surf report direct from the Goldy. And that’s also worth a squiz with a new swell hitting there yesterday. No news in from the Mentawai’s so we’ll have to assume there’s nothing much happening up in that part of Indonesia .
