AFTERNOON UP-DATE **** Hello again crew, time for an afternoon wrap up on today surf and weather conditions as it was. Well like I said I ducked out to Middle Reef and ended up scoring some nice waves in the 3-4ft range as the tide was getting towards the bottom of the Low. And by that time, around 11.30am the ESE-SE Tradewind had geared up into the 10-14knot class, but still straight off-shore on the Outer Reefs . There was a pretty mellow crew of surfers already in the water that probably peaked around 25. Dewa Made came back from Uluwatu just as I was getting home and reckoned Uluwatu was also only in the 2-4ft range at best. He also said that the wind was kinda cross/on-shore on the Main Peak but clean and tidy down on the Racetrack . I’ll cut ya’s another video clip from the 10 minutes worth of footage he shot as soon as I get this loaded. He also managed to shoot some pretty good looking scenery from on the beach at Padang Padang !. Weather wise it’s remained hot and sunny all day and back to how it should be in Bali . Ok folks I’ll get ya’s some new stuff loaded up shortly then I’ll be heading down the Dewi Sri live seafood restaurant here in Tuban for the night shift. Oh yeah and Dan from the Super Bank on Australia’s Gold Coast has also sent ya’s in some new photos and info to suss out.
MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Welcome to the weekend on the baliwaves.com surf and weather report scene. An what a good lookin day she’s shapin up to be here in Bali . Ya’s can have that cold weather and on-shore wind. What we got here this morning is a pristine blue sky and sweet sunshine . Light off-shore wind outta the ESE-SE @ 5-7knot and 1-3ft+ of swell gracing the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. Sounds ok hey. Yep I went down for the 6.30am surf recon and that’s what it is. There was 2-3 surfers out on Kuta Reef catching some little peelers in the waist to waist high plus range, with the High tide set to peak at 1.9mtrs around 8.00am. Middle Reef was a consistent shoulder to head high plus and looking very nice and will be improving after the tide starts to run down for a 0.6mtr Low through the mid afternoon. Airport Left also had a few ok lookin 2-3 footers and there were also a few takers in the water at the time. If you were heading down to the southern end of the island today I’m sure you’d score some good waves at Balangan and at Uluwatu , with the Ulu being the best bet for bigger size and more power. Me I’m just gunna slip out to Middle’s for a couple of sly ones but Dewa Made is going to be heading down to Uluwatu with the video camera to shoot ya’s some more footage to check out. An speaking of video, I’ve just cut a new clip for ya’s and it should be visible on baliwaves.com sometime in the next couple of hours. Hey and I know it’s been a long time coming but I was speaking to Troy who runs the baliwaves.com machine and he says anytime in the next 2 weeks you’ll be looking at a whole new design for the site. Ok then I’m outta here for now but I’ll more than likely be loading an afternoon wrap up on todays surfing conditions when Dewa gets back from Uluwatu . Have a good one and stay tuned to the one and only original baliwaves.com . If ya wanna get hold of me for any surf info etc etc, you’ll be able to find me at the Dewi Sri live seafood restaurant tonight between 7-9pm .
