MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning reef riders and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com for the goss on todays surfing and weather conditions. Things are kinda getting back to normal again and I was down doing the surf recon of the Outer Reefs at 6.30am . Wind direction was coming outta the NNW @ 4-6knot . By rights she should swing back to the ESE-SE anytime from here on in. The tide was almost on the bottom of a 0.5mtr Low and will be running back in for a 2.3mtr High around 1.00pm. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left is still holding at 2-4ft . There were a few surfers already riding Kuta Reef but it was looking a bit shallow and not giving it’s full potential. Later on around mid morning when there’s a bit more water over the reef and the wind off-shore then she should be worth a paddle. Middle Reef was breaking nicely at 3-4ft , peeling off with taper’d walls but I didn’t see anyone out there at the time . Airport Left was slightly smaller than KR around the 2-3ft mark and will also get better as the tide starts to run back in. Weather wise this morning it’s shaping up for another perfect beach day. A bit of cloud hanging about but that should clear away when the Tradewind kicks in. I’ve got Dewa Made on the road to Uluwatu to get ya’s some photos from down there. I’m still busy editing the video footage from Padang Padang , but I’ll be loading that up as I go. The crew from Home Base Bali hit the road for Sanur Reef at 6.00am in search of some long walled right handers, for a change from going left.. So I’ll also have the goss on there when they get back to HQ. Ok that’ll do us for now, but call in through out the day and there’ll be more of the best from Bali . On the swell scene wave height should be continuing to slowly drop down over the next day or two but then there’ll be another new one hitting the reefs around the 5th-6th Not too long a wait for the lucky buggers that have been surfing their butt’s off in Indo this season ! have a good one out there and catch ya’s again later on.
