AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Hi Crew, well I’ve been out and about today but my first surf check was at 6.30am here on the Outer Reefs of Tuban . Wave height was breaking in the 2-4ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left . But seeing as though the tide was heading for a 0.5mtr Low @ 8.00am Middle Reef was really the only option at the time. And Middle Reef did have a few nice ones coming through in the 3-4ft range and only 2 surfers in the water for the early. Wind direction has been blowing off-shore from legian to Uluwatu , coming outta the ESE-SE upta 16knots at times. I was covering kilometers by boat for most of the morning and there were waves breaking at just about evey location along Bali’s South Western Coast . From Balangan all the way down to the most famous of them all Uluwatu , excepting for Padang Padang. Uluwatu had some solid waves breaking, still holding in the 4-5ft+ range and I only counted somewhere around 20 surfers in the water riding the Main Peak . Coming back on the way home past Kuta Reef wave height had dropped off a touch more but there was still 14 surfers in the line up, but wave height was down in the 1-2ft+ range. It was also looking a bit wind blown. Weather wise out there today it got off on an overcast start but now at 2.30pm there’s getting a bit more blue sky above us. Oh yeah and before I forget the boys from Home Base Bali did score some fun little waves over at Sanur Reef yesterday. Even though she was only breaking at head high all the crew reckoned they got some sweet little tube ride’s, and all to emselves. Ok folks I managed to load up 4 of the new VIDEO CLIPS from the Rip Curl Cup at Padang Padang but I’ve still got a few more to go yet. Dan from the SUPER BANK has sent us through another batch of photos and surf info. The lads from the Kandui Surf Resort up in the MENTAWAI ISLANDS have also done likewise, so make sure ya take a tour through the baliwaves.com. It’s all in there for ya’s ! I’ll be heading back down to Uluwatu again tomorrow to make sure it all keeps flowing, so stay tuned to the one and only surf and weather info website for Bali.
