MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning crew and thanks for stopping by for a look at todays surf and weather conditions here in Bali . Sorry about yesterday but Slim was up in the mountains getting ready for his big day of days . And the date is set for the 14th of September and your all invited . Ok like I said on the 5th we were expecting to see the start of a new swell on the afternoon of the 6th, yesterday, and that’s exactly how it’s worked out. This morning when I did the surf check on the Outer Reefs wave height has boosted up into the 4-6ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left . The first tide for today is gunna be a 0.7mtr Low @ 10.00am and then she’ll be running back up for a 1.5mtr High @ 4.00pm . Wind direction is coming outta the ESE-SE @ 8-12knot and will more than likely increase in strength through out the day. But anyway it is blowing straight off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu , and that’s where it counts.Earlier this morning while there was still enough water covering Kuta Reef there was some nice waves being caught by the handful of surfers out for the early paddle. And it will be on again once the Low tide passes. Middle Reef was smoking through waves after wave in the 4-6ft range but I didn’t see anyone getting any while I was down on the beach . Airport Left was getting similar size as Kuta Reef, around 3-4ft with the occasional bigger set wave. Once again it’ll get better out there after lunch time with more water. Weather wise today it’s shaping up for a good one around the beach with lots of that lovely blue sky and sunshine. Temperature wise we should be heading for a maximum of around 30 degree’s Celsius. We’ve got Dewa Made out on the road armed with a video camera to get ya’s some new images and footage to check out. His first stop was at Bingin but he’s already phoned in to say that surfing conditions were not the best down there this morning and that there were no surfers in the water. So he’s pushed on to find out where the waves are and we’ll show ya’s the results later this afternoon / evening. Four of the surfers from here at Home Base took off for the island of Lembongan early this morning and I’m sure they’ll be scoring waves at Shipwrecks and Lacerations over the next couple a days. Lembongan is an easy island to hop across to, with cheap public ferry or more expensive private charter service available. Once you’r over there there’s a heap of losman type guest house’s to choose from right infront of the waves. Alright that’s just about us for this mornings wrap on this mornings conditions but tune into the baliwaves again later on and see what Dewa Made has brough home from the Bukit. I also managed to (finally) get a new report and some photos onto our FISHING REPORT page so if you like ya fishing make sure to take a look. Have a good one for now and don’t worry too much about those TRAVEL WARNINGS cause I heard that even the Prime Minister of Australia was here in Bali the other week. Catch ya’s SL8R.
