Bali Surf Report – September 1 2007

MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hello crew and thanks for dropping in for the run down on Bali’s surf and weather conditions this fine day. And what a good looking day she’s shaping up to be. I just got back from doing the 6.30am surf recon of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban and wave height has indeed boosted into the next level. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left is now in the 3-5ft+ range with the wind coming outta the ESE @ 5-8knot and clean off-shore from Legian down to Uluwatu . This morning the tide has just hit the bottom of a 0.2mtr Low so for now there’s just too much exposed reef showing for Kuta Reef or Airports. But when the tide starts it’s run back in for a 2.3mtr High @ 1.00pm . So anytime from around 9.30am onwards KR and AL will be smoking. For now it’s only Middle Reef and there’s plenty of lines peeling off in the 4-5ft+ class. I didn’t see any surfers out there at the time but there will be soon. I’m going to be back out at Kuta Reef around 11.00am with the 600mm and 14mega pix SLR getting ya’s some more photos to amp ya’s up with. Yesterday I also managed about 8 minutes worth of VIDEO of KR but I ain’t even had time to even download that yet. I’ll try and add some more to that today and then cut ya’s up some new clips for baliwaves.com. Weather wise it’s faultless with nothing but blue sky and sunshine around this part of the island. So what have we got today in Bali . We’ve got perfect waves and perfect weather and it’ll be smiles alround for the lucky buggers here on the happy holiday island .
