Bali Surf Report – September 19 2007

MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning friends of Bali and thanks for dropping in for the run down on todays surf and weather conditions . Firstly these NEW photos we’ve got on for your viewing pleasure were captured down at the ever famous location of Padang Padang by our good friend Mr Scott Thompson who is staying with us here at Home Base Bali for a couple of months (or more hopefully). As ya’s can see it was tube city for the surfers in the water and Scotty reckons that the local surfers were going off. This morning I was down doing the surf recon of the Outer Reefs @ 6.45am . Wave height is still pumping through in the 4-6ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airports . There wasn’t any surfers in the water at the time, with the tide still running down for a 0.5mtr Low set for 9.00am. But there sure as hell will be as the tide starts to run back in for it’s 1.6mtr High around mid afternoon. Kuta Reef will be the best venue and you can expect set waves in the double head high class. The wind was only light off-shore earlier, coming outta the ESE @ 2-5knot . But now at 8.00am has already increased in strength to 8-12knot+. Weather wise today everything is fine for the lucky buggers here on holiday, there is some high cloud fluffing about but basically it’s gunna be just another hot and sunny day around the beach. Best bet for wave chasing today is gunna be at Padang Padang and Impossible’s while the tide is still low, and then Kuta Reef when she starts to fill back in. Ok then I’ll be back out on location (Padang Padang) tomorrow as we are expecting another new swell to make it’s appearance.
