**** Hello friends and welcome back to the baliwaves for the daily surf and weather website. This morning’s 7.00am surf check of the Outer Reefs was all good and we’re gunna be in for another wave riddled day of surfing around Bali . The swell has had a slight boost in size with wave height coming through in the 3-5ft range between Kuta Reef and Airports . The tide was still a bit low but on the run in for a 2.3mtr High set for 11.00am. The wind was light on-shore coming outta the NNW @ 1-3knot , but hopefully she’ll swing back around to the ESE-SE and off-shore at some stage of the day. Even so surfing conditions were clean and smooth. Kuta Reef was peeling off tapered walls in the 3-4ft range (head to head high plus). There was already something like 10-15 surers out there and KR will only get better as the reef gets a bit more water over her. Middle Reef was hooking through at a solid double head high on the set waves, but with no off-shore wind to hold things up it was sectioning out a bit. Airports was breaking at 2-4 foot and will also improve around mid to late morning, not too mention the right hander either. Our man Scotty Thompson is gunna be sitting out in the channel at Kuta Reef in another hour or so with his 400mm and SLR getting us some new photos to check out. So cruise back here later on if ya wanna close up look at KR today. Just off the record, I can tell ya’s it’s no easy feat shooting outta the double outrigger boats with the constant up and down rocking. Pretty well impossible for the amateurs shooting in auto mode. I also dropped another 40 photos into the September Surfing Gallery yesterday afternoon, and I’ll add some more later on today. Dewa Made and Slim went out for a little motor bike ride around the streets of Kuta yesterday afternoon and took along the video camera. So as soon as I get this loaded up I’ll start editing ya’s some new video clips of how things look around the streets at the moment. Motor cycle video tour of Kuta Part ll . Ray from the Kandui Surfing Resort up in the Mentawai islands has also sent us through more photos and surf info from his part of Indonesia, check it out.
