Bali Surf Report – September 29 2007

MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE **** Hello surfers and welcome to the weekend on baliwaves.com . My surf check of the waves here on the Outer Reefs of Tuban went down at 6.30am . The tide was just coming off the bottom of a 0.1mtr Low tide , and it was that low that the whole reef was high and dry. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airports was still breaking in the 2-3ft+ range, but the only place ya coulda surfed at without grinding your fins off was out at Middle Reef . No wind at all so surfing conditions were clean and glassy. Middle Reef was breaking nicely in the head to head high plus range and there were 2 boat loads of surfers on their way out. Like I mentioned yesterday I wanted to check out Uluwatu . But by the time I made it down to the south end of the island at 9.00am the wind had already started to come up outta the WSW @ 3-5knot . As ya’s can see in the latest photos to come outta Bali surfing conditions were still pretty clean and there were some nice waves breaking on all sections from Temple’s right through to the Racetrack . With a crowd peaking around 45 spread through all 3 maikn sections of the reef. Wave height was averaging around the 3-4ft range but every now and then a double head high set would sneak through. Coming home past Padang Padang and Impossible’s there were some 2-3 footers braking down the line at Impossible’s but nothing much happening on Padang Padang . Weather wise so far today it’s been mainly hot and sunny with the odd bitta cloud moving across from time to time. I also had Dewa Made on the scene at Uluwatu with me today and he managed to shott 10 minutes of digitial video for us. So as soon as the dust clears I’ll check that out and get ya’s a couple of new video clips to check out.
