Well things have gone a bit pear shaped here at the Super bank, there has been so much sand pumped from the river and washed around from Duranbah that the bank is out even wider and the waves are kind of fat.
Don’t get me wrong a fat, wally wave that goes for a few hundred metres is still pretty dam good. It’s just not the Kirra – Superbank top to bottom style barrels that we’re used to around here.
The wind is chilly but a bit lighter than the last few days, from the Southeast, the swell size 4-5ft from the East South East with the odd bigger set.
It looks like it’s picking up and should peak tomorrow.
Hopefully the strong sweep around the point will push the sand around a bit and line the banks up a bit more…. It will be interesting to see what happens …but it should be cracking in the next few days’ regardless… stay tuned

If you’ve got the munchies drop in to Dee and Paul’s Rainbow Bay cafe and try out there burgers. The best on the coast!! While you’re waiting for your meal, check out some of the photos on the wall and you’ll see some great old shots of some of the locals … famous and some not so famous. Local guys like Mick F, Josh Kerr, Deano and Parko grew up on their chips and burgers.
