Bali Surf Report – October 10 2007

**** Hello again surfers and it’s time for another look at what’s happening surf and weather wise here on the happy little holiday island of Bali . And there’s always plenty going on over here wether it be surfing or checking out the many different sights and attractions around Bali . Surf wise this morning my 6.00am surf recon of the Outer Reefs was showing a slight improvement in wave height with 2-3ft of swell (waist to head high) breaking between Kuta Reef and Airports . The tide was just passing through the mid and running in for a 2.1mtr High set for around 10.00am. The wind was hardly detectible only just showing at 0-1knot coming outta the North. So surfing conditions were clean and glassy. Kuta Reef was breaking at waist to shoulder high and peeling off for 30-50yrds. Middle Reef was breaking at shoulder to head high and looking the best option before the tide peaks. Airport Left had some waist to waist high plus micro peelers, but just as I was leaving the beach I saw around 20 Japanese surfers heading out there all armed to the teeth with mini malibu’s. The crew from here at Home Base > saddled up their motor bikes at 5.15am and headed off for Uluwatu to make the dawn patrol. And I’d reckon it was a pretty ood plan of attack. Uluwatu would be picking up the most of this swell boost and there’d probably be the odd 4 footer breaking down there this morning. We’ve also got Scotty Thompson up at Canggu this morning shooting ya’s some photos so we should have them on-line for ya’s sometime just after lunch. I also took a long look at the swell prediction charts yesterday and it looks like we are gunna have to put up with these small waves for a few more days yet. Weather wise we’ve got blue sky upstairs and shaping up for a pretty hot day along the beach. Ok then friends you have a good one out there what ever ya got on and I’ll be back with the photo’s from Canggu shortly. Tomorrow if conditions suit we’ll be heading down to Uluwatu for the morning session.
