Bali Surf Report – October 11 2007

**** Good morning to all you Bali veterans tuning in and not to mention all of you yet to sample the Bali experience. I took my first look at the wave situation at 6.15am this morning and I’m sory to say that there’s not a lot happening out there today. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was only just breaking in the 1-2ft range . And with the tide still running in for a 2.2mtr High around 10.30am it’s not gunna get any better out there. Kuta Reef had micro sized waves peeling off at knee high. Middle Reef had a 3 surfers in the water with wave height on the sets just making it to waist high. Airport Left also had a few surfers in the line-up with wave height in the knee to waist high range. The wind was still light coming outta the West @ 1knot and like yesterday may swing around to the South by midday. A couple of the surfers staying with us here at Home Base have gone for the run back upto Canggu to see what’s happening up there and a couple others decided on heading South to Uluwatu in search of more size. But I’m thinking that no matter where you search today your not gunna be finding anything to special. Weather wise today it’s another sunny day and already shaping up for another hot and humid day on the holiday island. The water temperature is perfect for playing in and currently sitting around 23-24 degree’s Celsius. Changing dollars to Rupiah around the streets of Kuta you’ll find; — 1AU$=Rp8,000 – 1US$=Rp9,100 – give or take 50 Rupiah. Ok we’ve also got a New Moon coming up tonight so we’ll be seeing some bigger tide differences over the next few days, pity there’s no swell hey. Ok small waves but fantastic weather here in Bali today. I’ll still be finding something to load up into the Kuta Cam Gallery and October Surfing Gallery .
