Bali Surf Report – October 12 2007

**** Hello surfers and thanks for dropping by this morning for the run down on whats not happening surf wise today here in Bali. Whats not happening is that wave height seems to have dropped off even more. When I went down for the surf recon of the Outer Reefs at 7.00am wave height was lucky to be breaking in the 1ft range (knee high) between Kuta Reef and Airports . The tide was just starting to run in for a 2.2mtr High scheduled for 11.00am. No wind present at the time so the Ocean was looking clean and glassy. No one was out surfing and basically due to the fact that there isn’t any waves out there to surf on. Our man Scott Thompson braved the small conditions and the highway and went down to Uluwatu at the crack of dawn. Scott sms’d me that there were a few waves breaking down at Ulu in the 1-3ft range , but he also mentioned that that was being generous. Weather wise so far today we had a few drops of rain around 7.30am and the sky is still pretty much clouded over. So not much happening surf wise around the island,but the water is still fine for swimming / snorkeling etc etc. Or you could take advantage of the down time and get out and check out some of the other many sites of interest around Bali . Ok then I’ll be keeping a close eye on the Ocean and I’ll be sure to let ya’s know as soon as there’s the slightest improvement in wave height.
